Y’all remember that one time Trevor Lawrence shredded Bama in the Natty?

Mar 24, 2019, 8:28 PM

And Justyn Ross introduced himself to the nation? And the Clemson secondary made Tua look average? And the Clemson defense stood up to Bama inside its own 20 time after time? And Nick Saban lost nearly started crying?

Winning is fun. Good times, good times.

I do! However, Bama was beat up, tired, not ready, treated unfairly, neglected, manipulated, exploited, marginalized, victimized.... That’s all I got.

And don’t forget, Bama has new coaches!!

You didn't mention SEC fatigue. Shame on you.

I was too generic with “beat up.”

I may watch it again in a few minutes to get a spirit boost for a manic Monday to be spent reading and napping during a forecast rainy day. The life of a retiree certainly has its challenges.

Serious question. Do you miss the stress, the grind, the pressure??? Man, I dread it sometimes most days of the week. Don’t get me wrong, there are things I do enjoy, but the majority drives me batty...! Looking for advice by somebody old enough to know better and still looking for a light at the end of the tunnel!

I definitely don't miss the stress, etc. It was the type job I couldn't get away from entirely some evenings and on weekends as a project leader. It included not only some work but thinking of things needing done the following day or week. I do miss some of the folks both teammates and those in the areas we serviced. Fortunately was able to retire at 60 before the financial crisis or would probably have needed to work several more years. It greatly helped that my wife worked for the school system and I was able to be added to her health insurance program. Have been involved in volunteer work from the outset so that involves some time and a few skills used in the corporate world. Best wishes for a very satisfactory outcome with your situation.

Thanks brother. Some days are better than others for sure. Corporate life, right? It’s nice not to have the stress of ownership, but the flip side is being a pawn. It is what it is, lol!

Thanks for your honest feedback. Believe it or not, it means a lot.
