I think we lose in the upper middle but would handle 9, 11, 12, 13, and 14.
The bottom of the SEC is so terrible.

I think picking Kentucky, Vandy, or NC State when neither of the 3 have QBs left to play is a difficult pick.

I don't like it because they would be too worn out due to tough schedule to do well in the playoffs!

We each have our own opinions I suppose, but I have to wonder what you've seen of Wake this season that would make you think they'd beat Georgia? They're 7-2 yes, but they've lost to the only 2 decent teams they've played with one of the losses being by 19 points, and the other loss coming in a game where they gave up 62 points. They're also basically 1 play away from having lost to Utah State, UNC, BC, and FSU.

I agree. Georgia's defense is excellent. Wake's defense is not.

According to Action Sports Power Rankings here are the following projected spreads:
-4 Clemson -19 Georgia -23 Alabama -13.5 Florida -17 Auburn -6.5 Texas A&M -7 Missouri EVEN FSU -4.5 Kentuky -9.5 Miss State -5 South Carolina -2 Ole Miss -2 Syracuse -5.5 Ga Tech
The only ones I really have an issue with are UNC and Boston College so that would have the ACC at (6-10). The real problem, however is that there is not a team in the ACC other than Clemson that would be within a touchdown of anyone in the top 6 in their league in betting terms.

Here's my problem: outside of Clemson, I'm not confident that any ACC team could win. But, I am fully confident that Georgia, Bama, Florida, and Auburn would easily dominate their games. And that, is the problem.
Good teams: ACC - 1, SEC - 5 Average teams: ACC - 8, SEC - 4 Bad teams: ACC - 5, SEC - 5
The ACC has more average teams. Outside of Clemson though, there isn't another good team in the conference. And it all comes down to recruiting. The ACC, as a conference, is terrible at recruiting. Just go look at how many ACC teams currently have a top 25 class.

I agree completely. I think a point that many on here often miss is that the current reputation of the SEC and ACC has nothing to do with the bottom half of teams from each conference. The rep is based on the top 5 or 6 teams. Nobody cares how terrible teams like GT, Syracuse, Vandy, Arkansas, etc... are as everyone knows that every conference has teams like that. The issue is there are no great or even really good teams behind Clemson in the ACC at this time.
The next group of teams in the ACC behind Clemson such as Wake, UVA, Pitt, and VT can't even consistently beat the teams at the bottom of the conference. That's how the Coastal winner last year had a 7-5 record, and it won't be much better this season.

It's embarrassing that we have people who's entire argument can be summed up with "The ACC teams has more average teams than the SEC!!!", as if anyone cared about that. Take Clemson out of the picture, the SEC has 5 teams that would easily win the ACC. LSU, Bama, Georgia, Auburn, and Florida would easily win this conference. Texas A&M could also win this conference. Missouri, with Kelly B, could win this conference. Take out LSU from the SEC, and outside of Clemson, there are zero ACC teams that have a realistic shot at winning the SEC. Teams like Wake, UVA, VT, and Pitt would struggle to make a bowl game in the SEC.

The only definite losses I see are UGA over Wake and Bama over UVA.

Two through six look to favor the SEC. The rest look like coin flips. I hate the SEC as much as the next guy, but that looks pretty obvious to me.
