OK I stand corrected, I just read David Hood's article and figured that was the general feeling of the forum. OK, no wager.
I will say this, for the last few years there hasn't been a doubt in my mind that we would win. This year I have no idea what's going to happen except that I think like most that it is going to be very close and decided by turnovers which is the only thing that really gives me hope because as bad as our defense is, it isn't totally inept at creating turnovers. It's practically the only way we ever stop anyone.

I guess I missed the part where "running game" = "offense". UGA has a little more rushing attack than we do, we have a little more passing. We are currently ranked #26 and #27 respectively in total offense, so I'm right.

And to build on that, you guys only average 58 more yards per game then Clemson! 58! Both teams have played 4 teams currently in the top 25 in total Defense. Clemson is 3-1 against those teams and ScAr is 3-1. The biggest difference is that Clemson played 3 of those teams with a 2nd string QB and the other was when Cole was the "starter."

UGA's offense scored 17 points in 3 (and change) quarters. After the defense got Stoudted again and again. Also missing two starters on the side UGA scored 14 of those late points on. How confident are you in your 4th quarter game this year?

I usually have a feeling in how a game is going to go, but not this year. I had us pegged to win last year and would have without all the turnovers. I just don't know this year. I keep weighing the strength of our defense versus the weakness of our offense. At least our strength plays across yours.

as long as it's at least one less than Clemson scores.
Florida (11), Georgia (13), and Missouri (23) are the three best defenses $CU has faced so far this year.
$CU scored 38 at home against Georgia, 20 at home against Missouri, and just 23 (in OT) at Florida.
Clemson has the best defense, by far, that $CU has faced this season.

..OK, I'll bite. Can you tell me exactly what you are basing on that tells you SCar's offense scores more than 20?
Let's look at Clemson's games this season...only 3 teams have scored over 20 points on Clemson's D this season. But you have to look further into that that than just a score.
UNC....scored 14 points in the 4th quarter vs Clemson's 2nd/3rd string guys...prior to the first team coming off the field, only had 28 points. Best you have to base on, though UNC QB is higher in QBR than SCar's.
GTech. Offense only scored 14 of the 28 points they had on Clemson. The other 14 were from 2 pick 6's off Stoudt.
UGA. 21 points with Gurley in the 4th quarter. 1st-3rd quarters combined, Clemson stayed within 3 points of UGA the whole game, and UGA only had 24 points (only 3 in the third from a FG...went into the half tied). It's their running gameplay with a fresh Gurley that let the 4th quarter get out of hand. SCar does not have a tandem of elite RB's of Gurley, Marshall, Chubb, and Michel to keep a "top RB in the nation Heisman hopeful" legs that fresh.
So, what tells you that SCar's offense can do what most teams this season haven't (including GT)?

well you pretty much made my point for me, I was going to say everything you just said...minus all the rationalization and spin of course. You guys think you're the best defense we've played all year and you may well be. Well, we think we're the best offense you've played all year and can make a case for that as well, just chock full of "well so and so might look bad but if you look deeper you'll see...." type analysis that I wouldn't bore my worst enemy with.

Your O line is not much different than ours, the difference comes down to us having an elite pass rush threat. Dylan will look more flustered than Tajh ever did and will throw at least 3 picks. Also, here's to hoping someone teabags that little pee wee herman looking QB of yours after we we make him eat dirt.
