Wow. Flood (Bama OL coach) going with Sark to Texas.

I say "wow" like it actually matters. Bama will just hire some NFL OL coach to take his place.

Again, I love the continuity that Dabo has with our staff. But it is just incredible how Saban reloads year after year after year on his staff and it does not even phase them. They just keep getting better.

I agree, he wins no matter who leaves. Saban is definitely the secret sauce in the bammer sandwich.

Texas should be in the mix every year. So many resources and so many players in Texas. The way they’ve underachieved is crazy.

What Saban has done to me far exceeds the Bear or anyone else. He can't stockpile players like the Bear did to keep others from having them. He has built an incredibly well oiled machine. We're getting there, but Saban's 7 Natty wins(6 at Bama) is incredible.Bama isn't going anywhere soon.

a LOT of resources, history, easy to recruit but Saban has done a masterful job

Plus he might be like Bowden -- where the Admin has his back and he knows just how to work the system, boosters, politics etc. the whole ball of wax

I hope that is where Dabo is headed as well, as far as being able to function and manage inside the entire system.

But he can (and does) stockpile coaches

Lose a coach? Just plug in a former P5 (or NFL) head coach. Unbelievable.

couple years ago - there was an article about the $$$BUDGET

Jan 14, 2021, 4:45 PM

he spent on "Advisors" and "Consultants" and whatever title they use for specialist to break down everything for each phase of game.

Highly PAID coaches !!!!!

not sure how to find the article

Keep changing coordinators and keep winning. Very impressive. But I thought I heard they were hiring O Brian from the Texans as OC. May be mistaken but that guy is the worst I’ve seen. Maybe college is different but this may be Sabans biggest challenge.

He did OC a super bowl one time.

OBrian is a great OC. That was never the problem.

He just had no clue how to run an NFL organization.

I'm not saying that automatically means he will be great at Bama, but I think it's a tremendous hire. Not all great hires work out.

What you just said could be the reason why some leave.

Jan 14, 2021, 12:10 PM

Under Saban, they will never get due credit while they are there, they are just the latest replacement cogs in the Machine. Somewhere else, their good work will be noted. (They do seem to get hired a lot as head coaches, though.) <img border=">

I believe it has more to do with the talent (which I know is part of it). I just don’t believe he could’ve went to a place like Scar in 2007 and have them anywhere close to where BAMA is now. I do appreciate his process though as I’m smidge OCD myself.
