Have been trained up to play dirty. Now, granted, they rally to the ball and play physical football, but the helmet spearing and the dirty extracurricular activity was ridiculous. It was obvious that their form of "rally to the ball" involved standing a guy up and holding him until your partner can come in and clean his clock. Clemson players obviously didn't help themselves in this regard.
Clemson did enough to beat themselves yesterday, but the hardest part was watching those dirtbags get away with filth, while Clemson was heavily regulated.
Doeron will get a reputation if his players operate like that every game.
Glad for the win and hope we beat those toe-twisters by forty next year.
I wouldn't be surprised if Doeren already isn't real popular with ACC coaches. He's been whining and making excuses to the media for years because his teams can't win. The bottom line is that NC State has stunk for a long time and they haven't been relevant in the ACC in forever. He's grasping at straws dirty-play strategy. Its already over if that's what he's resorted to. Think about it...NC State plays their best game of the season, and plays dirty while Clemson plays bad, turns it over 4x, can't OL block anybody for the entire game, and still wins.
