A new study says that Ohio is among the "dumbest" states in the country.
Safehome.org released a study on Thursday that analyzed bachelor's degrees and college prep scores from the U.S. Census Bureau to determine which states produce the "smartest" people.
According to the study, Ohio ranked 43rd in the country, right after Kentucky.
The study based it's findings on the average of the percentage of adults 25 and older with a bachelor's degree and the percentage of adults 25 and older with a graduate or professional degree. It also looked at ACT and SAT scores as well as high school graduation statistics from the U.S. Department of Education.
"While we believe things like having high test scores and earning academic degrees represent one way of understanding and quantifying how smart someone is, we acknowledge that we're not taking into account things like emotional intelligence or common sense," the study said in its' conclusion.
