It blows my mind that a defense can look this bad

Sep 23, 2012, 12:45 AM

let alone a CLEMSON defense.
I see improvements from last season and I know that it's going to take some time for Venables to really change things (and dont get me wrong, I think he's the guy to do it) but holy crap, it looks like Clemson held try outs for walk-ons to play defense sinse the start of last season. (Although I think Blanks will really become a factor)

On the offensive side of the ball, Great job tonight, apart from the little meltdown in the 2nd half where FSU just made great adjustments, The offense played great. (especially against the #1 Defense in the country) And 37 points should be enough to win that football game.

Just my opinion from tonight, I think we still have a chance at a great season, and, unfortunatly the two best teams in the ACC wont get to play in the ACCCG because were in the same division

I don't really see improvements from last year to be honest.

Doesn't necessarily mean a thing about BV and his future as the Clemson d. coordinator; just calling it like I see it so far in terms of the improvement aspect so far.

by improvements I mostly mean

were not missing every single tackle we go for.

Granted theres still missed tackles, but thats just going to happen

With all due respect, I thought our tackling was atrocious

tonight. At least it was in the second half.

That was due to fatigue, which is because a lock of depth. I would love to see the play count. Our LBs were dragging in the 2nd half.

good point, depth tells in the fourth quarter.

If you have no depth to rest the D, they will get worn down.

we still look small/weak...

Need to recruit some nasty boys on D...plain and simple we are soft
