Will Shipley to Christian McCaffrey

Just want to lay out why this comparison is not racist or lazy. I actually think 247’s attempt to not seem racist by claiming Shipley compares with Joe Mixon is silly. Here are their combine testing results (NFL for CM and Opening event for WS). See if you know who is who without looking it up.

Player A
HT: 5’11”
WT: 202 lbs
40: 4.48 s
Shuttle: 4.22 s
Vertical: 37.5”

Player B
HT: 5’11”
WT: 198 lbs
40: 4.46 s
Shuttle: 4.21 s
Vertical: 36.3”

Also, they tend to have similar plays called for them and they look similar when they run as well. Don’t waste your time trying to find another comparison. I have no idea how Elliot is going to find playing time for Bowman, Pryor, Shipley, and Mafah, but it’s going to be awesome to watch.

Correct! He posted those numbers while he was still a Sophomore in High School. I can’t wait to see our RB stats vs the poor Uof6C defense. During Shipley’s “money year” (I guess that won’t meant anything with how much the top athletes will be getting paid before turning pro) in the 2023 season, he’ll be able to put the stamp on 10 straight vs the Coots!
