He's never coached in college and he's done very little actual coaching at any level.

He might be an absolutely terrific coach for our DL, but there are certainly no guarantees just because he was a really good player at Clemson and in the NFL.

He's a reasonably iconic name with the Clemson family and had a decent pro career.

That doesn't go very far at all in qualifying him to take over coaching a bunch of 18-21 year old college kids.

Dabo has proven he's a great judge of coaching talent.

I hope Dabo identifies and hires the very best coach available. If that's Brentson Buckner, then I trust Dabo's judgement.

We need for a proven coach to take over not someone that has no college experience coaching. I had rather bring Jeff Bryant in if that were the case.
