Wild Wing on Coleman

I live in MP also. We're usually at WW, out on the patio. If it's a game we don't care about, Reds (outside bar) is okay too. But for Clemson games, we're at WW 99% of the time. With the exception of the few garnet jerseys, it's almost all Clemson.

Awesome - We'll see you there! We were on IOP last year for the VaTech game, and there wasn't much of anything in IOP for watching the game.

I've been in Charleston for 10 years now, WW is the best I've personally found. And we did used to watch the games with the CC Clemson Club, but I thought they had moved away from Patriots Point?

And so that's pretty much all they show if/when UGA is playing. And if it's not them, it's something else SEC. And we've never had any luck getting them to actually play the sound from a Clemson game. I'm there once a week, but never during a Clemson game - usually there on Thursday nights when there's only one game on.

And if you ask, you can substitute Mac & Cheese for the mashed potatoes. I've never done that though - that'd be messing with perfection.

We usually go to Wild Wing as well but we go the one on 17 at Oakland. They've got a pretty big "outdoor" area too and it's just over the connector. The crowd there varies depending on what game is being shown. When Clemson is playing there's usually a pretty large Tiger contingent.

But I always had a bunch of friends that worked at the one on Coleman (all Clemson too), so that always felt like home to me. The new(er) one is nice too, but it's just a little different - can't describe it, but just not the same. Now, I live in the OV, so the Coleman location is just a hop across the street.

You've got entirely too many Gamecock watering holes over on that side! I'm definitely partial to MP, but love the Avondale area as well.

Actually the other side of the Cooper River is Charleston
Oct 3, 2013, 5:51 PM
[ in reply to So, you live on the West Ashley side of the river?*** ] |
|
as Charleston is a pennesulua with the Cooper River on one side and the Ashley River on the other side. That's why it's called "West Ashley" rather than "West Cooper". And Mount Pleasant, IOP, and Sullivan's Island are called "East of the Cooper". Daniel Island is in between the Cooper River and the Wando River. Mount Pleasant is almost an island. The Wando and the ICW pinch in and almost create an island north of Mount P. before getting to Awendaw. Very few people realize it, but if you look at a map you'll see that Beaufort is an island.
