Why were we still signing DT projects instead of instant

impact FR after our second Championship in three years? I suppose that explains why we were forced to switch to a 3 man front in 2019

Every school brings in project guys and instant impact guys.

It wasn't the freshmen who caused us to be stuck in a 3 man front on '19.

Tyler Davis came in and took the #1 DT spot before his first game.

The reason we were stuck in a 3 man front is because Pinckney and Williams weren't disruptive enough to keep a 2nd DT on the field.

Our last 3 recruiting classes at DT have included:
2019
Tyler Davis - impact guy
Etinosa Reuben - project
Ruke Orhorhoro - project who played well late in '20 after early injury (ahead of schedule as project)
Tayquon Johnson - moved to Oline

2020
Bryan Bresee - impact guy
Tre Williams - impact guy who was injured and out for the season
Demonte Capeheart - impact/project as a raw guy with superstar possibility

2021
Payton Page - TBD but rated as #4 DT in the country by Rivals so impact could be expected

We thought we had the luxury to take 2 projects in '19 because the coaches thought we had veteran Juniors who would be on the field and give the young guys time. At this point it seems we are 1 for 2 on that class' projects which is pretty good after only 2 seasons on campus and several years left to develop them.

I see two instant impact guys and one of them came

from out of nowhere, the rest is just you attempting to spin...I did like how Capehart was a categorized as a impact/project, it perfectly illustrates you totally missing the point of the exercise
