Why on the final play did we only throw the ball 12 yards

when we needed 24? Was that the play call or did DJ just react to the pressure and dump it short? There were other questionable offensive calls like our last series in the 4th quarter when we went three and out running off just 17 seconds. Still, the 4th down in OT when we needed to get the ball thrown closer to the first down marker was one of the more frustrating moments.

Still a great effort overall by our Tigers. We showed our second and third string defense, and second string quarterback can hang with the #4 team at home. I have no doubt we will beat Notre Dame soundly in an ACC Championship if both of us get there.

we killed ourselves that possession. Why stop the it on 4th down?

It was a desperation lateral Cal-Stanford play call that never got started because they were ready for it. If we would have tried to run 24 yard routes DJ would have been crushed from 3 sides.
