Why is Dallas Keuchel starting tomorrow?

I'm assuming it's the whole Soroka is a rookie thing. But dang, ride the horse that got you there. We didn't not start T.L. last year in the playoffs because he was a Freshman. Now he's limited to 1 start in the series

1. Stop comparing TL to MLB post season play.

2. Soroka is a rookie with zero post season experience. Dallas has 9 post season starts with an ERA in the mid 3s with a World Series championship to go with that. That’s why he’s starting. Experience over everything is always first.

Soroka has been lights out on the road this season...He’s being utilized perfectly in the post season rotation.

The real head scratcher was Teheran being left off the roster.

Soroka pitched in the last outing against the Mets. My guess is they're giving him some more rest, plus Keuchel has playoff experience. If he starts game 2, they'll be able to use him twice, if needed, in the series.

Will get the second game and Soroka will get the 3rd in St Louis . . .

If needed Fried will get the 4th . . .


Teheran being left off had to be a tough call by Snit and an even tougher conversation with Julio . . .
