Why hasn't Deshawn Watson gotten more love?

I see he gets some on certain shows but he seems to be getting overlooked by too many. This could be a big year for him and I just don't understand how he isn't in everyone's top 3.

I don't know, but I am glad the team and Watson aren't getting too much hype. I think they are all getting just enough. They pundits or whatever we call them can start hyping the team after we start out 6 and O or something.

I saw two shows yesterday and Belotti (sp) said he thought Watson was the best player in college football but worries that he can't stay healthy. Luckinbill agreed. On the next show the ESPN "A" team didn't mention Watson or pick Clemson to win their division. Pretty wide diversity there. The picked VA TECh, GA Tech or FSU to win the conference. They literally didn't even mention Clemson.

Most realize you can't lose an entire D and win a conference. That is a different conversation than Watson being an incredible player.
Was a 6-6 USC team at home his biggest win ?

He's only started 5 games, for one

And only even played in 8 games. I'd say he's gotten a ton of attention for somebody with so little experience.
Just to be honest, I'm a little worried about him even being able to live up the hype that's already built up. The guy's very good, but I think people are expecting perfection. And let's not forget that even Watson could struggle against a really good defense- see UofL.

He's a true sophomore who played in about half the games his freshman year and looked spectacular. He's the top Heisman candidate in the ACC. He's in the top 10-12 on most Heisman lists nationally.
Considering that tOSU has two of the top 5 in their QB and RB and there are 4 or 5 upper classman QB/RB leaders of their teams, Watson's getting the appropriate amount of love.
