Why has Luke Hill cooled on Clemson?

On 247 sports, he has been downgraded from "warmer" to "cool" commitment status.

247's warm/cool status is essentially worthless. We have had so many commit to us with a "cool" status, it's actually quite funny.

Clemson's about to take 3 out of his high school that OSU thought they were gonna get.
Also, like all under 6 footers,he should have committed before over 6 foot 4-5 stars wanted Clemson. BV will move with the taller player most of the time.

Some people over at 247 have hinted at grades. I don’t know if he’s cooled on us as much as we’ve cooled on him. If we told him he could commit, he would on the spot

Not saying it's not grades but hard think grades when he's playing at St. John's. It's not his 1st yr their either. I think that other DBs are on the scene as well now. Hill is a good DB but I'm gladly take Gray over him. That's no disrespect to Hill either.
Maybe it is grades Idk though.

So what if someone posts something negative anyway? I am sure there are very many people in your life who love you to death. I doubt, any of them would say that you are perfect and never do anything wrong or make mistakes. My point is Clemson could be the greatest school of all time, and still from time to time not get everything 100 percent right.
As far as Luke Hill goes, maybe he doesnt value what you or I value in Clemson. There are many schools to choose from. Maybe its nothing and 247 is wrong.

Academics. If he can get the ship righted, Clemson is still his dream school. Just not looking great at the moment.

I think gray and davis are both either silents or 99% there and key lawrence right behind if not same boat. And we pulled the committable offer for now. With last years DBs i think we only take 3 and those are priorities over Hill due to athletic upside as stated. Also this we only want 4 DBs so meed a clear safety not 4 dbs. ex Mickens and Thompson).
