Why does no one crash the boards?

Jan 11, 2018, 10:15 PM

Seems like every time we shoot from deep, everyone else is going back on defense.

If everyone crashes the offensive boards.

We are more susceptible to giving up easy baskets to the other team. It’s a similar philosophy to not going for the punt block in football so that we can have more guys back to block.

But when they go back down the floor and allow easy threes, I'd rather take my chances getting an offensive rebound.

My biggest complaint of Brownell teams. Not only do they not crash the boards, but they don't usually send but one person to the boards for rebounds. And, it is bullxxxx analogy that it is like not trying to block punt. A team can crash the boards with 3 or 4 players and keep 2 or 1 player rotate back to stop fast breaks.
