Why are the coaches ..

Not allowing kb to run the same plays as Lawrence? We already know kb2 can throw screen passes and run the ball. Why arent they trying to further develop him by giving him the opportunity to sling it around and throw downfield? Lawrence has looked better thus far but the play calling is completely different between the two qbs.

and if he hasn't been able to develop that over the last four years, especially learning from DW, then it isn't going to happen. The coaches know who the future is for the next three years.

It seems like a waste of valuable reps for either KB or TL. We know our QB pass play needs work because good teams will load the box. Not sure what training was gained (other than points on an inferior team) in that last offensive series.

KB overthrew a wide open receiver fir a TD in 1st quarter. A quality downfield thrower he is not.

He can’t throw screen passes. It seems like it takes the ball forever to get to the receiver and the receiver doesn’t have time to catch and turn.
That’s why when you see KB with a screen, the receiver it doesn’t get yards after the catch because the defender is already wrapping him up/ hitting him. Deshaun and TL both get the ball out there faster which allows the receiver more time to turn with the ball and make faster decisions.
