Why all the optimism for the USC game?

What have you seen when Watson isn't in the game that leads you to believe we have a shot against them? Hopefully DW will be able to play to give us a shot but there's no realistic chance we beat them the way we have played with stoudt. Our D can hold them scoreless and sadly that's our only chance at this point.

I saw Schuessler complete some passes. He had good zip on the ball and looked decisive in the 5 or so plays where he passed the ball. Small sample size, but already looks better than Stoudt at this point. I don't know what happened to Stoudt, but he appears to have really regressed. He looked decent at times last year, but he has just lost it.

USC's defense is horrible...and I mean BAD. They can't stop a rushing attack. The tigers should win...seriously

Just like Ga Tech's D was bad and Syracuse's? I'm not saying they are good but we can't put up points no matter who it is. Maybe Nick will get a good start next week and get some reps.

Is that sarcasm? I like the coots by 20 at this point. Today we went from playoff potential next year and Orange bowl this year to a team that will be struggling to beat any power 5 teams next year and will be playing in the Jock Itch Relief Bowl with all the NFL talent faking the flu this year.

we don't. Even if our defense plays well, they can't hold up if our offense keeps going three and out. Our offense will also give up some points to SC. Without Watson, we will be a 10-point underdog and we will not cover the spread.

Well, before USuCk went to overtime and only had 10 points, I thought to myself, maybe we still can win against them. My rationalization is our D is better than Florida's D and if they can hold them to 10 certainly we can. However, are any of our QB's better than Dylan Thompson? Does our O suck less than their D? We'll see.

Because we are two mediocre, at best, meeting in a meaningless game. In those scenarios, it IS A TOSS UP.
