I did see a 4.38 sec. time, but the take away, clearly, is both are blazers. It will cause serious mismatches, especially if we throw in Overton who is very tall and quick, as well. I think we have very little drop off, even though we are losing some of the best. I see our future as very bright. Remember, we thought we would have drop off when Tajh left and Sammy, etc, but we've been pretty darned good. Reload!!!

I got it. Thanks! Point is we won't be short on weapons for quite a while, and we are adding more top quality talent across the board. The best news for me is we now have an OL that gets the job done. Major Kudos to Coach Robbie Caldwell and Joey Batson for coaching them up and making them stronger. That's where success begins and ends.

Feaster is faster

|

Per Scout, Feaster had a verified 40 time of 4.34, may be home cooking, but that is fast. Feaster also ran track, so...... Per Scout, Etienne had a verified 40 time of 4.43, this also may be home cooking, it is also fast, but not as fast as Feaster. Granted Etienne is a little bigger than Feaster was when he ran his, so....both are big athletic playmakers, Feaster is just a good bit faster right now.

If that is accurate, the both are extremely fast in football

terms. In a track meet, that .09 difference has some significance, but it would be almost meaningless in football where players rarely start a run from a sprinter's position or run in a perfectly straight line. The thing that's important is that both are probably in the top 4-5% of all college football players.

Feaster ran his around 200-205 and Etienne around 210. Feaster is also an inch or two taller.

Well,my son runs track @13 was running on the in the 12sc range Feaster won state and ran in the mid to low 10s. That's moving I say Feaster but a legit 4.43 is legit fast. These guys are fast.

There is track fast and football fast. Jacoby was supposedly faster than CJ and he was on the track. But the second you put those pads on CJ was on a whole different level it seemed

I saw Jacoby block for CJ. Jacoby is the fastest Clemson Tiger to play in the Real Death Valley ever, IMHO.

He was very quick, too, but I do think Jacoby Ford has (or had) the NCAA 60 meter championship record, and he was whipping the guy from (I believe LSU) in the NCAA 100 meter championship race, but pulled a hammy and dropped back. All are elite sprinters, though. I do think I am on record as being the slowest player ever to don a Clemson uniform, though. What a noteworthy accomplishment! NOT!

I found this about Travis Etienne.
His work on the track this spring could also prove a major boost as he works to get a 4.50-second laser-timed 40-yard dash at a Nike event last summer closer to marks of 4.24 and 4.33 at which he'd been hand-timed at a showcase in Sulphur.
Etienne ran 100-meter and 200-meter dashes of 10.5 and 22.04 seconds last Wednesday, Phelps says, in just his second meet of the spring.
Here is the whole article about his junior year.
