Defininetly not Sheridan Jones. He isnt close to ready. He may breakout, but I think if he is starting we are in trouble. I hope Booth steps up when healthy.
Booth or Goodrich

I watched him late in games and I thought he looked lost and not that explosive. I could just tell he was far from ready.

Just tv. I can see way better watching tv anyway. I see half as much in person.

I liked the way he played in the spring game. I would rather have him 1 on 1 with a WR than Goodrich. I think Goodrich played well tho and he may start. I could see him playing the 5th man in a nickel package tho. Booth and Davis probably have the most talent so maybe they step up.

I sure hope it isn't Sheridon Jones. Would not be a good sign.
My hope is Booth because he's more physically gifted than any CB on the team and has the most upside. Hopefully he is both fully recovered and ready for the job.

What am I missing on Jones?
I haven't heard the negative feelings on him until this thread.

Definitely something to monitor this spring

Worthy candidates are Booth, Sheridan and Mario. Sheridan is probably the most healthy of that bunch so he may gain a little advantage. Mario seems to not be able to shake the turf toe and Booth has the knee injury. I personally like all 3 with Mario having more experience.
I really like Sheridan though. To me, he has that Virginia toughness and swagger about him. Coaches love him too. I dont understand the knocks on him by some people on this board.
Don't think Leanthony Williams has a shot....he may get some reps but I think his window for the light to come on has come and gone. Maybe Fred Davis and Malcom Greene can come in and do something, even though I think Greene ends up a nickel guy or safety rather than CB.

Yep that is why I like him. Corners need to play like Mac Alexander did imo. Have that confidence and I get that from Jones. Not sure the knocks on him either. It is going to be a battle and whoever gets the job will have earned it. We have a lot if talent there.
