Who do you guys think will fill Shaffer's shoes next year?

I'm thinking in terms of hitting, and based off of how Stolz was able to finish at the regional, Stolz definitely gets my vote. Hopefully coach Leggett has been recruiting some power hitters, though...

big power hitter. I think hes 6'6'', 220 lbs. I may be wrong about that. We lose Shaffer, Pohl, and Stolz. Baum may be moved back into the IF, where he played in HS unless we get a FR to step up. Id look for Costigan to DH some. Hes not the greates OF, but he hit around .280. I think he'll swing the bat next year for us. I think out pitching staff will come back intact. I dont see the draft killing us there. Our staff should be tops in the ACC. If we can play good defense again next year and limit the outs on the bases, we shuldnt have to hit incredibly well.

I would just like to make a comment about Richie Shaffer. I went to the game on Saturday and was sitting behind the Clemson dugout. First the obscene language that came from there was terrible but I guess it happens at all schools, but the worst thing was the poor sportsmanship that was shown by the Clemson players after the game. Richie Shaffer went alone to congratulate the winning team and he had to turn around and shout a few choice words to his own team to get them to come out there. He, in my opinion is a class act and he will go far in life. The poor sportsmanship has to be blamed on the coaches first. Why let Clemson's good reputation go down the drain over a loss. Hopefully we will have more Richie Shaffer's in the future!

I don't think he's making a comment about Schafer using the foul language, he's making the comment that Schafer had to use that language because the other guys on the team weren't going out and acting like sportsmen.
