Where does Watson land now?

Mar 9, 2017, 7:17 PM

With all of the QB free-agent moves around the NFL over the last couple of days, it appears that some teams poised to draft Watson are now settling for a second rate "veteran" quarterback (thank you Chicago and Cleveland).

Would one of these teams still draft him only to let him learn under someone inferior in hopes that he's ready to go in year two?

Cleveland may still draft a qb in the 1st round.

Osweiler is temporary.

I still think NY Giants make the most sense... but knowing Reese, he'll draft another edge or TE before taking a quarterback. Bottom line, if DW4 type talent is available at 23, you jump all over that and laugh.

I wondered about the Skins too if Cousins is able to throw enough of a hissy fit to get Snyder to release him.

Read he could land in KC or Buffalo

Arizona, NO, or NYG all have vets at the end of their career. I wouldn't be surprised to see DW4 go to one of them and get coached up for a year or 2, that would be ideal for all parties.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

He could end up in NE if the pats make a deal with CLE

Would he make it all the wat down to Az or NYG?

I would love to see him in any of those though. Saints at the 11th pick would be sweet.

Maybe nothing has changed.

Mar 9, 2017, 8:12 PM

Doesn't mean those teams are settling. They may still be taking QB's but bridging the gap to get their rookies ready for a year or two.

49ers. They were just denied Cousins by Dan Snyder

Mar 9, 2017, 9:10 PM

They've been scrambling for a quarterback the past couple weeks and had to settle for Brian Hoyer, who's definitely not a franshise qb. The rest of their QB's are either bad are going to be traded. Gabbert has requested a trade. Shanahan is not going to kick off his head coaching tenure with Hoyer and Christian Ponder.
