WE DON'T CARE ABOUT CONFERENCE!!
We care about CLEMSON.
I don't care how many SEC teams are ranked or if any ACC teams are ranked, Where is Clemson!!?? That's right, we are top ten at the end of last season, and will be inside the top ten in the preseason!!!
Take your conference loyalty with you as you exit the building please.

stop getting so caught in conferences. It's not that they're meaningless, but what's FAR more important is Clemson. We need to win. We carry enough clout all on our own. Win, and everything else will be just fine...BCS, playoffs, whatever. It will be a benefit when the ACC picks it's game up a little, but Clemson will survive just fine regardless.

I guarantee that our team and coaches could give two cents what letters are on the jersey of the team lined up against them. It's about going out and handling your own business and letting the chips fall where they may.

a couple of other teams had lost, we would have had an at-large bid. as long as we beat at least 11 other teams ( maybe even 10, depending upon who they are ), regardless if we win the acc, we have a very good shot at a bcs bid, we would have to win the acc and win at least 11,depending on who else goes undefeated or only loses 1 game, imo, to play in the mnc game.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with hoping that other conference schools do well--as long as we're better than all of them. (That's not the same as rooting for them, just to be clear.) In this day and age you have to have a strong conference to be considered a legitimate contender football program.
Do I still laugh and point when they lose? Definitely. But when it's in Clemson's best interest to have strong opponents, then I advocate for that.

I get what you are saying but as a fan of an SEC school the perception is a little different. The SEC hype that so many complain about is an advantage. It helps financially and with recruiting. So while I hate a lot of SEC teams I want them to win their nonconference games to keep the hype going. It benefits our program and like it or not it is to the detriment of nonSEC schools sometimes. Now if I were a bama fan I probably wouldnt care because I dont need the advantage. For us though, when we recruit against a lot of ACC schools, the perception helps us. If the hype didnt benefit my team I would think it was one of the stupidest things to care about.

I think that these SEC homers are way off base; on the other hand, it is a given that the SEC is the best football league in the nation. The best players nationally want to play there, because of money and maximum exposure. Quite frankly, wish we were in that league.

Part of me can understand the SEC pulling for an opponent thing, but for me the only teams I want to see play well within the ACC are the ones on our schedule. If we play teams that have good record it only helps our strength of schedule.
But if we don't play Virginia Tech next season, god knows I want them to go 0-12 and have Logan Thomas throw 40 interceptions. But because we are playing Syracuse I hope they have a respectable record like 4-1 going into the game, not 0-5. It makes beating them by 40 not even impressive, and if we want to make a run at any kind of big bowl game we will need the strength of schedule to be there.
Now, with that being said, if Florida State made it to the national title game I would hope they would get the dog #### kicked out of them unless they were playing an SEC team. I'm tired of this "SEC everything" attitude on tv.
