When KB leads us to the Natty

Maybe you guys will believe in him then? He is never going to throw for 400 yards. That is not what we do. He has made great throws and makes the plays when he needs to.

You think it's bad here you should hear what Bama fans say about Hurts.

What’s wrong with hoping he plays better in upcoming games? DW4 gave us the best chance to win and he was criticized for too many TO’s. Both observations of DW4 were accurate. What if KB had room to improve AND gave us the best chance to win? I think both are true.

He can improve for sure. I am talking about the people wanting Hunter Johnson to take his place. Everybody can always improve. We do need to hit more down field shots. Some of that is on the WRs some is on KB some on the OL and RBs. KB will continue to improve bit I have seen comments saying we are winning in spite of him. He has lead us to victory. He is our leader and has done much better than many thought he could do.

They will have forgotten about Hunter Johnson and will be

Trashing our coaches and demanding that they start TL. We will even see fans who write for Clemson sports websites ask the coaches why TL isn’t playing.

Very possible

He will have to earn his spot for it won't be handed to him and these kids are all giving it everything they have to get on the field.

I would bet about anything KB will start next year. He has earned it.

He’s made a few good throws, especially early season when more zone defenses were playing us. Doesn’t matter whether he throws for 40 or 400 but I do know this, his offensive conversion rate is horrible. Way too many drives just stall out because he’s overthrown or under thrown passes that have stopped drives.

Last year the same thing happened with DW. Some of it is the defense just playing us good. Getting pressure sometimes. Sometimes he overthrown on purpose because it is covered and he doesn't want a int. He plays smart, runs hard, and makes throws in crunch time. He can improve yes but he has played great this year.

Yes GREAT! He is undefeated in games he has started and finished. We all have seen how good we are without him playing.

Cole stoudt had a great record when he started also, I guess he was great and we won because of him also. Right? I have a crazy feeling you are going to say yes.

Re: Great?***

The Oklahoma game Stoudt did play great. He also did not play 10 games.

This post right here shows how delusional you are. Comparing him to DW. Sure DW missed some throws, every qb does, but he extended more drives with his throwing ability than he killed. KB does the exact opposite. It’s crazy you would put them together.

And the people aren’t talking about when plays are covered or he has to throw the ball away. It’s when he has a clean pocket, an open receiver, and the pass doesn’t get completed. Like all the time. Either he misreads it or throws an inaccurate pass. Those are the ones people are complaining about and it will cost us a game. Maybe the coot game.

I am not saying he is like DW. They have different styles and we play a different style of O with KB. Please show me all these wide open throws where nobody is in KBs face and is overthrowing WRs. Maybe a couple times but not many. What about all the great throws he makes and the great runs he has?

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

Posted: Nov 12, 2017 6:57 PM

He’s made some good throws and had some good runs. But he has had way more bad plays than good ones. He’s 1 for his last 19 on throws 20 yards down the field. That’s horrible.

Any qb in the nation can be 20-30 if they are constantly throwing passes around the line of scrimmage. Do you honestly think he completed difficult passes last night? Do you honestly think he was sharp passing the ball?

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

Posted: Nov 12, 2017 7:07 PM

The down field passing has been off but just yesterday the WRs had 2 drops on passes of 20 yards or more and you could argue 3. It is not all on KB. A lot of those throws have been on 3rd and long with the D knowing it is coming because we do not throw much on first down this year. It is just a different offense than last year and KB is running it pretty dang good. 31 points 2 weeks in a row. We average almost 33 ppg against one of the toughest schedules in college football. We have played 2 top 10 D's and 6 top 50 D's.

KB has been up and down for sure, however he has won us a few games too. DW had several NFL caliber receivers he was throwing too. As well as a great TE in Leggett. The receivers have drop a lot of balls this year as well. Cain is good but he's not Mike Williams, at least not yet.

Has he over thrown players yes, can he improve yes. But I'm not going to bash our starting quarterback. I'll be there Saturday to support our team and hopefully into January.

You are kidding right? Please tell me you are trolling...don’t mistake just throwing the ball away to avoid a sack and airmailing an out route at the sticks. How about having a WR wide open by 7 yards on a deep post and he throws a fckn jump ball instead of leading the receiver? How about last night when he had Ray Ray on a deep post and he doesn’t have the confidence to throw it.

See all you people want to come out and defend a couple days after we win but don’t want to say anything during the game. People who understand the game of football without wearing their orange shaded licenses know where this team is headed with Bryant as a QB...We are treading water...barely.

I guess you have never watched a game in the NFL. QBs are not perfect and KB is no different. He is a dang good QB and has lead us to victory. He is going to miss some throws. He didn't throw it to Ray Ray because he was running for his life because FSU had been getting pressure on him the whole game. I'm not saying KB is the best QB in college football like DW but some of you people act like he is a scrub. We are 9-1 and like it or not he has a heck of a lot to do with that.

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

Posted: Nov 12, 2017 6:55 PM

See man this is why I can’t take anything you say seriously. The play he was talking about, KB wasn’t running for his life. He had great protection. He had plenty of time to throw that ball. He was watching him the whole time, Ray Ray came wide open, and he still took the sack. No one is saying he should be perfect and never miss a pass. He just misses way too many he shouldn’t and does not read defenses. He’s a one read and run qb. That won’t take us to the promise land. Just be prepared.

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

Posted: Nov 12, 2017 7:13 PM

I have seen him make multiple reads plenty of times but okay. I know the play you are talking about. He was rolling right and yes he might could have thrown it but he was pressured on that play. He does make some mistakes but to act like he does more bad than good is exaggerating. You don't go 9-1 with a bad qb. We can argue all day but KB is doing enough to beat any team in the nation. Yes I hope he improves and we can be more effective and efficiant in the passing game for sure.

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

You can continue to hate on our QB all you want but when we win the Natty with him hopefully you will have a little bit of respect. Maybe not though I am sure you will say it is because of everybody else but him.

It’s funny that you think he is just getting hated on for no reason and it’s even funnier you think this team is 9-1 because of the play of KB. The defense keeping teams out of the end zone Kinda has a lot to do with it. I guess we win the auburn game only scoring 14 if we didn’t have a great d. I guess we still win against VT only scoring 24 if we didn’t have a great d. I guess we beat GT only scoring 24 if we didn’t totally shut their offense down. Same with FSU. I can’t spell it out for you anymore. Like I said, your orange glasses keep you from reality. You said DW was as good a runner as Lamar Jackson. I don’t think I’m gonna get through on this.

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

Well next year we will see if LJ can run the ball or not because DW had been running pretty good before he got hurt. You act like it doesn't go hand in hand though. If our D was giving up more points we would not have been as conservative on the O like we have been. Last year we averaged 38 points per game this year 33. Last year on D was gave up 19 ppg this year 15. So what are you trying to imply? Our O showed they can win a game against NC st. Our D showed they can win a game against Auburn. It is a team game dude. The D cannot win without the O and the O cannot win without the D. Ofcourse the D keeping teams out of the end zone has a lot to do with it as well as KB getting in the end zone.

Re: When KB leads us to the Natty

It is not just because KB that are 9-1 but take him away for a half and we lose so maybe he has a little something to do with us winning you know. I don't think it is his bad plays winning us games.

KB will not lead us to the Natty

[1]
Posted: Nov 12, 2017 5:57 PM

KB hopefully will be on the team when we win another Natty, and he may even be the starter, but everything is not about KB. If Clemson wins a Natty, it will be because the Defense leads the way, the O-Line plays well, and the RB's run well. It will not be because KB leads the way. Christian Wilkins appears to be the leader of this team. It will be a lot of players working their butts off and making up for the fact we lack a vertical passing game, and KB hopefully playing his best ball of the year to contribute. Go Tigers!

KB is the leader of our O like it or not. Winning the Natty will have a lot to do with him. Us being 9-1 has a lot to do with him. Our team will be why we win but we got a chance to see how we are without him at Cuse but we can pretend that didn't happen if that is what you want but we lost that game because KB was out of it. We could have won without him if we made FGs yes but if he was not hurt we would have won by double digits imo.

I wouldn't say 'never' about 400 yards passing.

Posted: Nov 12, 2017 6:22 PM

He's got it in him and we have the receivers to make it happen. Not likely, but doable.

With how balanced we are i don't see it happening. He can do it but I don't think we ever see the need for it. I believe we can run on any team in the nation, even Bama. It would be fun to see what people would say if he did though.

I would say he improved like many suggested on here.

What happened to WRU?

I would rather average 200 rushing and 200 passing than 100 rushing and 300 passing. We can be RBU.
