I seriously doubt the would choose him given his ties to ESPN and would be a slap in the face to the hosting university. Look at the GameDay trend as of late. They have been very vague ties (if any) to the host university. Brad Paisley, Eric Church, even Clemson had Eric Stonestreet and Bill Murray. I tend to think it will be Kevin Spacey for his fictional role as a SC senator on House of Cards.

No way ESPN would bring back someone they removed from commentating. Even if on good terms, there is nothing to gain. Holtz would not get an audience and one senile guy on the GameDay stage is enough. Katy Perry with no ties to either team would make more sense.
