I don't think either one of them handled the situation wrong. Saban gave Jalen an opportunity to win the starting job back, even gave him first half snaps in their opener. You can't be more fair than that. Both coaches know what works for their QB room.

Hurts blasted Saban about how there had been no communication. It was a over the news and was not a good look.

Saban said the same thing over and over during the offseason about their QB situation. He kept saying it's an open competition. But apparently Jalen is content, he didn't quit and doesn't look like he's taking a redshirt this season.
