What was reason Clemson switched sides of field

to start the game? Usually the opposing team starts with their backs to the Hill and student section...Notre Dame, Louisville etc...Clemson always drives towards the hill in first quarter and 4th.

The kicking team almost always selects the wind at their backs.

Wind is predominantly out of the west at Clemson. That's the reason the normally drive towards the hill. Due to the front that's been here for the past week the wind has been outta the northeast

But doesn't the coin toss determine which end the field Clemson uses? If we win the toss we get to kick or receive and the other team picks which end of the field they want. If we lose the toss....vice versa.
