Interesting Stat...... Coach Swinney

Oct 16, 2015, 10:11 AM

Dabo Swinney’s .717 winning percentage is the 11th best in the nation among active coaches in the FBS. Interestingly enough, Swinney has beaten eight of the other 12 coaches on that list.

Coach Swinney and the Tigers have beaten Jimbo Fisher of FSU (2011), Les Miles of LSU (2012), Urban Meyer of Ohio State (2013), Mark Richt of Georgia (2013), Bob Stoops of Oklahoma (2014), Steve Spurrier of South Carolina (2014), Bobby Petrino of Louisville (2014 & 2015), and most recently Brian Kelly of Notre Dame (2015).

Note: Spurrier has since resigned since these stats were posted earlier in week

Who will be the next coach Swinney checks off his list?

Saban, Peterson or Patterson?

Maybe Saban or Patterson this year! Perhaps both?

A Clemson win tomorrow will fix that since obviously
Spurrier can't change his no mo'.

86-49 .637 But that was in the mighty SEC so it is more like .837

Since Clemson plays Clemson every week that means you can add Dabo to the list of winningest active FBS coaches that Dabo has defeated.

Would love to see a list of who those other coaches have beaten on that list. I would be shocked if Dabo wasn't 2nd or 3rd on the number of coaches he has beaten. I would also bet that Brian Kelly might be last on that list of coaches he has beaten. My guess would be Saban would be 1 on that list as he has had the most opportunity to beat everyone on that list. Wonder where Spurrier would fall on the list of coaches he has beaten.
