What is Power Hour?

I know that redshirt players are part of "Power Hour" lifting; but how is different from the normal time spent in the gym?

Is it something that is so intense that they don't want non-redshirt players to participate so that they don't end up binding their sore muscles or sap all their extra energy? Something that takes longer recovery?

Or is it a replacement spot for certian team and positional meetings where non-participating players are not rquired?

Can a key contributor or starter participate in power hour? Is it a requirement that a redshirt punter would need to participate?

It is a college drinking activity where participants typically drink heavily for an hour. Said drinking is typically accompanied by loud music. Redshirts are encouraged to participate to get their "college body" ready for future years. Starters are most likely discouraged from participating due to the heavy drinking in season.

We probably replace some time that would be practice and drill with additional lifting to get players bigger faster. KJ was on the skinnier side in HS and was likely going to need this. I be he come out next year looking a lot like CLE.
