name one tough guy on our d...anybody?
can't think of one.
nice guys, but not much else it appears.
not trying to say they should be thugs, but honestly having some toughness about you is an attitude that our players don't have.
I wouldn't mind seeing a couple un-sportsmanlike penalties for taunting or showboating. Someone to show some emotion or that they care.
B-Dawkins glarring at his opponent thru his tinted visor after he layed them out....where is that?
Keith Adams giving the "cut throat" sign after a big hit..
The only one who brings any emotion was Lateek, but he couldn't get onto the field.
B.V talks a big game on the sidelines....wish we could translate that onto the field.
give the coots all the crap about their thuggery / arrests off the field, but they do bring that attitude on gamedays. not saying our players need to go out and start key'ing some cars, get arrested for public urination or running away from cops, but just toughen up.

And. There is mouthing close to a thug type players out there.
Look at the defensive leader...Manti Te'o. Hard nosed, smart, and a true leader. That's what we need !

Hard-nosed. Bust them in half and then offer a hand to lift them up, put them back together and send them back to the huddle so you can bust them in half again.

Our LB's and DL are acceptable albeit not great. Both the LB's and DL get better next year. I am not sure about the secondary.

I would settle for a corner or safety that will turn and look for the ball when it is in the air. #5 was Dabo's first commitment, I can't wait until he is gone.
Attitude and playing angry are secondary to having the proper skill set.

Speed rushers and lock down corners, a dominant DT wouldn't hurt either. Toughness.Goodman never became dominant he had the looks though.

Not sure how close we are to that. if we had Justin Miller, Tye Hill and Gaines Adams this year....17 points would have been good enough to beat SCAR and 37 points would have been enough to run FSU out of their stadium.

ears pinned back and foaming at the mouth? get some ballhawking, instinctive DBs who play the ball, punish receivers and come up in run support and stone folks. you cannot tell me that our front 7 don't get demoralized by our db play. if we had aggressive playmakers and hitters at db the whole D would transform.

If we would rush more than 3 guys on third down maybe we could make the quarterback get rid of the ball quicker which means our DBs aren't hung out for 5-7 seconds at the time.

What concerns me is forcing our D to play 40 minutes because we can't figure out how to move the chains against an aggressive pass rush. It was frustrating as ###### watching Tajh hold the ball, looking down field play after play in the second half. I kept waiting for chapter 2 of the playbook to be opened. Never happened.

DeAndre McDaniel could "push" anybody around on D.
Should have moved Joe Craig to D so he could beat and bully some players.
Dont act as if a player is a criminal because they taunt and play with emotion like DJ. Especially with some of the actual criminals Clemson has had.
