Maybe I’m not being clear, maybe you misunderstood your own post ...
You asked about a situation where the starting QB used up his eligibility... that would leave only the back up QB’s.. KB aside, those backups would become starters ... KB wants to start at QB ... It’s all speculation ... Agree to disagree .. but don’t disagree just to disagree ..

should assume their the next qb because of seniority. If the starter graduates, and a new starter hasn't been named, then he's not taking another starter's job.

Well ... he would have the least seniority of any program that has more than zero eligible quarterbacks .. right?
My point is he should have just stayed ... Being a backup at Clemson is better than starting lots of other places ... I believe it’s a decision he will regret, and I wish him well...

It's not guaranteed he'll land a QB position. Not guaranteed he will start.
I wish him the best, but don't think this was his wisest move.
The price we pay for being at the tip of the spear in college football.
By the end of this season the TLaw and CB Experience will be in full effect.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Just because he gets on a team doesn't mean he will automatically be the starter.
