What has happened to Fox News?

Outside of Tucker and Hannity, the network has made a left turn. They have hired Obama staff, Donna Brazil and the shows are now often supporting left wing positions. The 5, Martha McCallam, Brett Bair...all have swerved left.
The morning show also has had a shift in tone.

James - the younger son - was reportedly semi-liberal-ish, if you can count the third-generation scion of a blueblooded English/Australian media mogul "liberal". But he got fed up and left a couple months back.
Lachlan - the older one and the one actually running News Corp the last few years - is not anything resembling "liberal"...well, unless you're a Nazi. Then I suppose he might look pretty liberal.
He reportedly doesn't like Hannity and regards him as an egomaniac and a clown, but he apparently really favors Tucker Carlson.
As far as Fox going liberal...LOL. Yeah, whatever. As far back as Margaret Thatcher, old Rupert has shown he's a wily old dog who will discard a politician when they're of no further use to him, and it'll be sort of a canary-in-the-coal-mine indicator when you see Fox News pivoting away from Trump because that's the moment they perceive he's done. My guess would be Tucker quietly distances himself and lets Hannity take the hit...and Carlson ultimately winds up in Hannity's chair.
News Corp makes money. That's ultimately what it's always done.

60's and 70's. Here we are, sitting in our underwear, taking to strangers over this thing called the internet, about which "news" organizations, and which "journalists/CEO's" are liberal or conservative.

I'm not saying it's not a valid conversation today. I'm saying at one time it wasn't even a conversation because one was not necessary.

journalists used to journalist.
now they've been taught that their position is too valuable to not be used to create real, positive, lasting change.
they no longer report, their role is to influence.

was born. I remember as a kid watching the news. When it got political they would show some democrat making their case, and talking about how bad the republicans were. And vice versa, a republican promoting their plan and talking down the dem plan.
BUT IT WAS ALL ON THE SAME NEWS PROGRAM ON THE SAME NETWORK. You just didn't force an opinion or only give one side. Not on the news. That just was bad form, wasn't done. Destroyed credibility. Just like you never gathered 500 of your friends together and yelled your opinion on some political issue like happens millions of times a day on social media.
Imagine a newspaper back in the 80's where 200 random people were picked to write whatever they wanted about politics, each day. No fact checking. No integrity. No standards. Then imagine you had the ability to clip articles from that trash newspaper you wouldn't pay a dime for, and mail them to 500 friends who would receive it in minutes, with your commentary.
Nope. World didn't work that way. Shouldn't today.

They are just being honest with you. You are an idiot and a sucker if you don't realize that. You are a fool, Vote for Trump. You may not want what the Dems offer, but any Trump supporter is an idiot if they don't realize he is a fraud. He may be better than the Dems for you. That is fine and understandable, but Trump is an ignorant fraud. The problem is the Dems are terrible too, but nothing like the fraud Trump is.

I have to disagree. The Dem policies will bankrupt this country. They will befriend China and make it where no one else will ever be in power but them. Trump is not my first choice but now its the only one fraud or not.
