Don't know about the viscosity, but bar chain oil works very good on mine. Be sure to wipe some on the rubber inserts. Eliminates the skipping and noise in light rain.

Turn signal fluid works best but it's hard to find. The newer cars have LED turn signals so they don't need it. For that reason, many parts stores no longer sell it. But it's worth the effort to search it out. You can probably find it on Amazon. A pint will last for years. Hope that helps!

I usually mix 1 part hydrogen and 1 part chlorine, and that stuff removes any streaks. Worth a shot.
