What Alabama did last night to Louisville was impressive

Sep 2, 2018, 2:54 PM

But we did the same thing to them last year when they had Jackson

Everyone including myself thought Louisville would light up their young and inexperienced secondary. Bama's DB play was the biggest eye opener for me. Not a single one of them started last season and they were flying all over the field last night.

You mean only you. Everyone expected last night to be a blowout.

But the experts chimmed in all off season and said Bama's secondary would be vulnerable against Pass and those big receivers. I didn't say I didn't expect it to be a blow out, I said I thought UL would light them up and put up some points.

Louisville is a young, undisciplined team. 1st game of the season will not have them playing their best. Saban is a details man and ALWAYS has his team ready to play. That game reminded me of Saban’s First game, when he kicked a Bowden coached team’’s butt.

That wasn’t Saban’s first game at Bama. He started there in 2007.

Everyone? They were a 3-4 score favorite by Vegas so I don’t think very many people expected them to light up their secondary especially since Louisville hasn’t been good at passing since Bridgewater

Not me...

I fully expected to see Louisville get their a$$es handed to them.

My question is how good are the Cards this season? We won't really know for a few weeks. Their next two games are cupcakes until they hit their conference schedule with Virginia in 3 weeks then FSU next. Saturday were they a good team having a bad day, or a bad team playing their best?

I expected Petrino to act like a ####### on the sidelines last night, and he was as expected.

It’s a dumpster fire of a program. Petrino’s staff is poor to below average. We’re on our third DC in four years.

No discipline, guys getting on social media and badmouthing Alabama.

Only positive is Pass might have a better arm and ability to make reads.
