Well, it's been almost 18 months since the SEC won a BCS level bowl.

Not just a national championship, but any BCS level bowl. Think about it. The "best" football conference in America hasn't won an elite level bowl in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 months. The ACC has won two since then, the Big XII has won one, the Big 10 has won one, and the American conference has even won one. What's up with that?

Just something I pondered this evening. Not flaming.

The BCS was a system of elite top tier bowl games plus the National Championship from 1998-2013 and is being replaced by a four game playoff. A school that did not win a bowl game in their first 103 years and have never played in a major bowl game in its history would understandably be full of fans not knowing what the BCS was.

Week in / Week out ... you gotta show up to play or Kentucky will punch you in the mouth.

The rigors of the SEC would take the steam outta most NFL teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC turns it around this season and has 4 teams in the first ever playoff.

They are all some tough buckaroos.

I can't imagine why the just don't cancel the rest of the games so everybody can really focus on the only important ones, those played between two SEC teams.

Look at all the time and money wasted on football outside the SEC.

You know why the NFL won't give SEC teams to franchise? Of course, they know they wouldn't have a chance against just highly paid highly qualified players. And don't even get me started on their coaches.
