Rehash - It’s fake, sales tax doesn’t match, no name/s shown on picture, hospitality tax takes it to 10%, bllllllah.

Oh boy... Sales tax rate, as in SC sales tax rate, (that 8%) on all purchases you make in SC does not match the 10% on the receipt. Guess this was a topic that escaped a few evidently.

and this escaped you....

in Richland County, SC - 10% is correct.

5. Foods/Beverages
(nothing pre-packaged, all
prepared meals and
beverages)
Total: 10%
State Sales: 6%
Local Option: 1%
Transport. Penny: 1%
Hospitality Tax: 2%

Good Lord, you guys are killing me! I’m saying there was a thread or twelve from Saturday where people were saying it was fake because you couldn’t see the establishment names, sales tax didn’t match SC, etc, lol! I was trolling the trolls! So I get a series of TD’s when I was being sarcastic about the dumb-bo’s saying it was fake! Smh

This is clearly a Papa Johns business model issue, not an SofCU tipping issue.

I got through like six posts andI almost started to get embarrassed for those idiots. “Tips are for good service,” as if they are killing it in hourly wages. ?????

Drivers typically make minimum wage while in store. Once they clock out on a run, their pay drops to a lower level so their restaurant can avoid paying them much above minimum, after tips.

If a driver goes short on tips, he/she earns below minimum wage. An owner is not obligated to make up the shortfall on a driver's wages unless your wage is sub-minimum for an entire pay period.

Once upon a time pizza delivery was a great job. Now it is simply a cash conversion job--you trade equity in your vehicle into a cash payout nightly, and you convert your hourly paycheck into documented tips paid nightly. Since income is capped and tracked, the only undocumented permissible benefit still left is the occasional free food.

It is conceivable that some of us have too much time on our hands.

That’s interesting. I had no idea they did that to those delivery guys. Makes you wonder who would want to do it even. Wonder how grub hub and those guys attract drivers?
