Some what surprising but

Mar 24, 2019, 10:38 AM

Not too surprising that Clemson men's bball has only 2 acc coach of the year honors since being awarded in the 50's. Both to Cliff Elis. Hell, Seth Greenberg went 8-8 in conference play in 2004 and won. How does that happen. Would have thought at least Rick Barnes might have one or OP when we played in the acc championship. Guess they hate us or another coach had just a little bit better of a season than clemson. Prolly the first one.

You would think that Brownell would get it every year accomplishing such great things in spite of Clemson having such bad fans and such a weak commitment from the administration.

Well, Brad was named Sports Illustrated’s National Coach of the Year last year.

I’d say that’s pretty noteworthy.

"Everybody needs to know that Coach Brownell is arguably the best coach to come through Clemson." -PJ Hall

Agreed, picked to finish 13th and finished 4 and a sweet sixteen run. Guess only SI saw how great of a season last year was. Hard to beat what Tony Bennet did last year, you know being the number 1 overall seed and losing to a 16 seed.
