Squandered all night. Just had a feeling Monte should have brought Spiers or another veteran to pitch the 8th. Hope I'm wrong.

In the Top of 8 . . . Gilbert had recorded 2 outs . . . Their best hitter came to bat next, a lefty . . . Instead of staying with the lefty - lefty matchup we had, Monte brought Spiers in making it a lefty - righty matchup . . .
It all worked perfectly . . . But would you have made the change?
We don't know all the story, I understand . . . Maybe their hitter hits lefties better than righties . . . Just a call I wasn't expecting . . .

I had texted my brother end of 7. Said Monte should bring on one of them for the 8th and 1 for the 9th to keep it tied. Just had a nasty feeling... Askew and Clayton did their job. 1 run through 7. Still hope I'm wrong and we find a way.

Question, why wasn't sharp able to take second on the wild throw... I'm not watching remember. Then what was he thinking with the pickoff? ...
Just curious... But we got what we needed most. Xtra innings. Only fitting. We gave them one and they gave us one. Good pitching duel. That closer of theirs is the real deal.

he was extended and didn't see the throw . . . It came off the fence hard, he wouldn't have made it . . . Hall never hesitated, scored easily . . .
As for the pick off??? I'm hoping they had a hit and run on and Parker(?) just missed the pitch . . . If it wasn't that, it was a bone head mistake.

Thanks BBO... But I just tag along. Skeeta may have missed his calling being in the booth. He knows baseball. Grew up playing America's game. As did I. He played longer than I did though.... Just a mutual love of the Tigers as we all, plus a little xtra with a passion for baseball. Thanks again for the kind words.

Davis might be the happiest player on the team. Qualk said he knew it right away. So so happy for Fairey.
Did they show Coker warming in the pen ??? Radio thought for sure they were going to bring him in for Fairey.
I'll say one thing. That little as 4 Winthrop is a player.... I know he hates making the e6 but he's for real too. They'll get in the 64.

2) Check swing . . . Called strike 3 on an appeal . . . Look at the forward blur to see the extent of the swing
