We need to work in our Tight Ends More

into our overall offensive scheme. Even though they have been an integral part of our run blocking to date our tight ends need to be utilized more as meaningful receiving threats than they have been to date. Improving this area of our receiving corps will be more important to accomplish prior to the playoffs and make us even more potent as legitimate threats for other teams to take into consideration in their pre-game planning as well.

as soon as Galloway gets beck for the CFP run.

It will be a nice added dimension that teams haven't seen on film this season.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

So when is his suspension over?

Nov 12, 2019, 11:49 AM

Does he have to be tested at the end of his suspension, then wait on the results, then wait on the ACC and NCAA?

Has he been working with the team at practice?

He can practice, he just can't play.

Nov 12, 2019, 11:50 AM

He'll be eligible to play in the first CFP semi-final game.

And I think this is a huge thing that many people overlook..

With BG back at TE in the playoffs, assuming we take care of business, that will add a whole new wrinkle to our offense that are competition will not be seeing on film. I am very confident that our coaches have a decent number of plays / schemes that we have only used a handful of times throughout the season. And adding that dynamic to our offense will only further open up the WRs on the outside and running lanes as safeties and backers will have to account for the TE more. Basically, our offense will be even more explosive, which is a scary thought for any opponent.

I've been thinking that. Maybe have a few plays in the fold

for later.

I’m not sure the coaches will trust BG to have a big role

in the playoffs after sitting out for a year. We haven’t had a pass catching TE in 3 years and that probably won’t change during this years’ playoffs as well.

The problem is, with Galloway still serving his suspension, Allen and Lay are true freshmen, we don;t have any great pass catching tight ends.

Man, I misread this title. I saw “work it in” which gives this a completely different connotation.

Likewise. I'm pretty disappointed.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

TE’s haven’t been the same since we lost the Oilers.***

"I've played multiple sports and would bet any amount that I'm still more athletic than you at this present time...."

We're beginning to do that

Nov 12, 2019, 5:34 PM

The last couple of games, we've targeted the TEs a little more. Their blocking is improving and the route-running is also improved. We're working on it, I think.

I don’t really agree. There are only so many balls

Nov 12, 2019, 5:42 PM

and Tee/RossAmari/Ngata/Ladson/Overton don’t get enough touches now..
