We know that UGA is not the best team in the country

We don't know whether Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, or Ohio State is. Therefore, UGA has no business in the final four teams ..... period.

good point...if the job is finding the best, uga is out - they already lost to a team in the playoff

Also lost to a team that is not in the playoffs . 2 loss teams have no business in the playoff , especially if they can't win their conference .

but so apparently not.

By this rationale it should be the 4 undefeated teams.

All three undefeated teams are in

Despite the FBS designation, UCF plays in a different division of college football altogether. Isolated from Power 5.

By your logic then Bama wasn't last year either

Posted: Dec 2, 2018 12:23 AM

because they lost to the team that lost to UGA. I think we all know that Bama was the best team last year....well everyone except UCF.

Nope Bama did not play OU last year head to head by your logic we do not know that.

LOL I hope to goodness Oklahoma makes it in tomorrow

I can't imagine how much whining they and the Big 12 will do if they don't if all the crybabies on this board are any indication. I honestly think some of you would argue with a wall.

Can one really call it the power5 conferences if only 2

conferences. I think the SEC is stronger this year. The West has been good the past few years and the East improved again this year. I think the other 4 P5 conferences are mediocre at best right now. That obviously hasn't always been the case. We helped ourselves this year by staying undefeated, blowing most games out, and scheduling and winning a tougher OOC game. So I don't really care who makes it in, but I don't think teams are entitled to be in just for being the best of an inferior conference.

I don’t understand Herbies thinking, so you shouldn’t punish UGA for losing to the #1 team but clearly dissing Okla but they never got a shot at them so how do we know what would happened

Here's a hint

Maybe the Big 12 and Big 10 need to actually regain a pulse and/or play tougher OOC games as we do. Then they will have decent wins for their argument

UGA's out of conference: Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee State, UMass, and Georgia Tech. Oklahoma out of conference: Florida Atlantic, UCLA, and Army plus an extra conference game. Georgia isn't running away with the claim of tougher out of conference schedule.

Hipe the Committee thinks the same

The SEC “quality loss” BS is a mystery to anyone not in the SEC.

It just means more.

Photobucket is holding my sig pic hostage. Screw them.

I’d like Herbie to point out the UGA wins

That support his argument. He trashed Oklahoma for beating Texas and WV. What win does UGA stand on to overcome 2 losses?

that would be wins over 9 and 15

Posted: Dec 2, 2018 12:53 AM

Their losses were to #1 and #10 at LSU. OU has a win over #16 and a win and a loss to #14.

So the difference between

Beating Florida and Kentucky instead of Texas and WV is enough to ignore an extra loss and not winning a conference. And losing to Bama by going up 28-14 and then giving up 21 unanswered is the jewel to not only get in but move up. Sorry but Herbie is off his rocker.

May have been the best logic I have heard. So if they beat Bama if they get there who is really number 1.
