Virginia Tech has owned us for years and dominated us in football and basketball. Only recently have we even been able to compete with Virginia Tech. Virginia always has played us tight and won all the heartbreaking games that we played against them.

football 20-12-1 and I think we lead the series in basketball. We have not been dominated by them in basketball. Since they joined the league, we have probably split or Clemson might have an edge. We have won a couple on their home floor just since they joined.
UVA we ahve won the last three in football and lead that series 37-8-1. We have held our own with UVA in wins and losses in basketball for years no. Actually, they have been pretty down. THey probably lead the basketball series, but not by much.
VT put together 5 straight in football over a period of the two schools not playing very much. And that streak was after clemson had won something like 9 of 10. Now Clemson has blown them out three straight two of those games were not ven in Clemson.

won the last 3 by a combined 99-30. I just can't say the state of Virginia owns us, sorry.
The last two times we played Virginia in football, we also won by double digits.

I thought Clemson was like 25 -0 against Virginia in football until the 90s. Was it not like 40 years of ACC before the Cavs finally beat Clemson.
Virginia had a Heisman caliber QB in the early 90s that brought the Cavs a little success. Seems they may have been #1 for awhile that season.

My first Clemson game ever attended in person was a beat down of Virginia circa 1975 or so.
I remember my Dad made me wear my Sunday School clothes to the game because it was such a big event to go to see the Tigers. I remember men in suits and women in fine dresses. Time sure have changed.
