I would like to thank the Clemson fans who stepped in and helped my son this weekend at the Clemson-Carolina game. He’s a senior at Clemson and chose to wear a Tiger “costume” to the game yesterday. As you can imagine, some Carolina fans didn’t like it and bad things happened as he made his way back to our tailgate after the game. Some Clemson fans saw he was in trouble on 2 separate occasions and stepped in to help him. The second one was more serious and he ended up with a concussion and a broken nose. It could have been much worse if it had not been for the Clemson fans who pulled him out of a 5 on 1 assault.
I’m am forever grateful and am so proud to be a part of such an awesome group of people who care enough to help someone in trouble. Go Tigers!

Does it surprise anyone? Pure trash. That’s why I will never go there again. The family should contact the authorities. More than likely some of this was captured on a camera.
Their team didn’t put up a fight... so leave it to their trashy fans.

I hate the injury. Gamecocks gonna gamecock. Who hasn't seen the videos of Carolina fools fighting at ball games? I hope the Tiger fan recovers quickly.
That said, wearing a Tiger Costume to a game in Columbia off of Bluff Road is just unwise.
