Late-Game Collapse Again Costs Tigers At Home

Given an opportunity to erase a horrible memory from the N.C. State loss back on Jan. 29, Cliff Hammonds failed Wednesday night. Not once, but twice. Full Story »

Way to call Cliff out ! It was 100% on him after all! Way to

blow it for everybody Cliff! And all this time I thought it was a team sport and a TEAM loss, but thanks to Dan Scott, we know exactly who cost us the game! There were about a dozen plays that could have turned the game, but Lazy Dan just highlights the TWO by Cliff.

Considering the Team was shooting 48% from the field, I would say the entire team missed about half there shots. We can highlight poor shooting as a team problem, not just Cliff Hammonds. This is a article I would expect to see from a college kid in "The Tiger" not a professional journalist.

Lazy Journalism, what else do you expect. Maybe Dan should

have let Becky write that one since he only watched the last seconds!

Pity poor Cliff Hammonds.....

Feb 9, 2006, 12:37 AM

that's rough on a kid who played hard and missed a couple shots.

Isn't that a call to pity him?

Feb 9, 2006, 12:39 AM

Isn't that giving him exactly what you folks are b*tching about, a little sympathy?

I don't get it... should Dan have just LEFT OUT that Cliff missed a wide open shot in OT and a free throw to seal it in regulation? (Just like he did vs NC State?)

Cliff is a good kid and I'm sure he'll pull through this. This was a team loss. But Dan has a responsibility to report the game as it happened, and not as it is most easily swallowed.

exactly

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you're saying the loss falls SOLELY on Cliff? CU shot 48%

Feb 9, 2006, 3:12 PM [ in reply to Isn't that a call to pity him? ]

from the field and Cliff was the only one to miss a shot?
