Watching the game again, props to James Skalski...

Oct 12, 2020, 6:23 PM

He recognized that double pass play, realized the TE had ran past #36, and told him to get back in coverage. He definitely prevented a TD on that play.

He is playing himself into an NFL draft pick. Was he that highly regarded coming into Clemson?

He was a 3* in 16, but so were Simmons, Mullins, and Anchrum.

Obviously there are several story lines for the first 4 games, but Skalski is one them and I don't think many people outside the team realize that. He's been spectacular!

Skalski is a coach on the field but he also play physical.

You’re right Mo. You win with kids like him on your team. Our Tigers have several.

Some may remember he did kick off in high school and Dabo actually let him kick an extra point once. Skalski didn’t surprise anyone in Ga where he is from with his talent in the field. He has been one I have watched closely and the one I said coming into this season would be a beast. Ben B. with more versatility.

Am I the only one that thinks Skalski is sneaky fast?

Oct 12, 2020, 7:39 PM

He was covering a lot of ground Saturday.

the best in the world for sure. Monster heart and effort make up for it though!

I love this kid. It was so much fun to watch his TD in the Citadel game!

He seems to be a bjgger somewhat faster BB10. Would probably be a solid NFL middle LB if they still valued that in today’s pro game. I wonder if he would play another year at Clemson and consider going into coaching.
