We saw fewer presidents doing these stupid rallies. That includes Obama and all of em. Seems like they spend half their time campaigning for other people.

Any "rally" that is focused on self...

Religious, political, whatever type.
If there were a candidate out there who lined up with me on every single issue, and I thought they were the most wonderful human being, I still wouldn't go to their campaign rally. I'd be uncomfortable.

How about the Billy Graham crusades?

On one hand, the man was doing God's work by all accounts.
On the other hand, Billy was the star, so by your definition, where did that fall?

I can't say I've watched very much of them...

but what I've heard, I believe Dr. Graham preached Jesus, and didn't spend hardly any time on himself.
If there were people there who came to see him just because of him, then that's on them, not on Dr. Graham.
Also, the crowds have different behaviors, right? I mean, they didn't go crazy applauding every sentence, right? They just sat and listened, from the little I've watched.

I understand they are pep rallies...

designed to get people lathered up to go out and vote. I'm not saying it's wrong. It's just not my thing. I never was big on the "rah-rah" stuff anyway. Never liked the pep rallies at school, just sat quietly. Shoot, even when I went to football games, the extent of my cheering was clapping and nodding.
I guess I prefer to operate in a more logical, calm state. I'd go to hear a candidate, in a room of silent people, expound on his stance on issues.

Trump wasn't making a legitimate effort to manage the exe office and keep his promises but I haven't heard a Trump voter complaining about either.
We're at a time which we seldom see a POTUS doing his job as promised. If he can handle the load he impresses me.

No, he's not. His White House is a mess. He spends half his time golfing or going to these rallies because he wants people to worship him.
...and keep his promises but I haven't heard a Trump voter complaining about either.
He hasn't kept most of his promises and has broken many as well. See that one about vacations and golf.
I'm happy to provide a list if you want one.
All his rallies are just as ridiculous and dumb as Obama or Bush or Clinton. And he's just as bad of a president whether you like it or not.

who tells lies and trolls honest posters who have the country's best interest at heart?
How about we do it this way. Instead of me getting a list of Trump's fulfilled campaign promises you point out the ones he hasn't either fulfilled or is trying to fulfill.
Instead of me asking you to make another list of what you don't like about Trump you say what you do like about him. In lieu of playing nice I'll say one thing I like about Obama.
I love the fact that he increased drone strikes against terrorist instead of sending more of our troops over there to try and find and kill our enemies.
Your turn.

I agree, we need an bill but he can't pass health legislation without some help. Imo, he did the best he could with the opposition being so strong. At lease he ended the penalty for those who don't want to buy Obamacare. Maybe we can get it after the election.
I think he's aggressive enough toward China to satisfy anyone who complains about China screwing the US by manipulating its currency.
The tax return is not an issue. It was a lie to shut the dems up. I wouldn't do it, I'll tell dems, liberals and other social warriors my taxes were none of their business. He shouldn't have lied.

Another "But Obama" response.
You know I don't like Obama. You know I didn't support Obama. You know I didn't think he was a good president. That's the best you have even when you know it's nothing. It's your favorite plate of red herring.
Our difference is that I've never been in love with any president, but you are clearly infatuated with this one to the point that you honestly believe he's accomplished all his promises, created this economy from scratch, and really runs an efficient White House.
As for his promises, it's a simple fact that he has failed to come through on more than half of them. You tell me what source(s) you will accept to prove this and I'll use it.
Save the "but Obama" stuff. It makes you and the rest of those who use it look silly.

I think stopping the "buts" is good if everyone does it.
Oct 2, 2018, 12:41 PM

For one small example, people would stop "but Obama'ing" in Trump conversations if people would stop "but Merrick Garland'ing" in Kavanaugh conversations.
The problem is you were scarce around here in the Obama era. Could be silent protest, could be silent consent. The people demand answers and I don't think we can believe you that you disliked Obama until we get a full FBI investigation.

How much do these rallies cost tax payers because he seems to have 2 to 3 a week now? I guess if he gave up golfing he’d have time for one a day.

He will be running on his record when 2020 rolls around. There isn't a politician who can touch him. Why? Because they sit around playing politics all fking day instead of helping the country.

I bet if you checked how much the worth of TheRump family has increased since they have now been breaking the emollients law, every day, for 20 months, you might consider your high praise. It's all about TheRump to TheRumo. You have been conned! And you seem to be too afraid admit it. He's about to lose control of congress on roughly 30 days -- house and senate. When he does, the GOP will run from him like the mad dog he is. But first, he will have to withdraw lying Kavanaugh's name. TheRump WWD (world-wide depression) is less than 6 weeks away. The Mueller report will come out right after the elections, showing that TheRump not only colluded with the Russians, but that he spent their money to get elected, and that is treason. Then the big debate will be should he resign in disgrace, or will he easily be impeached from office. Of course, TheRump tries to start a civil war using the 22% of the voters that still support him; but the military easily puts out the small fire. And a law is passed that all rapid-fire weapons must be either voluntarily surrendered or forcible collected, since the majority of righters were found to have enough guns and ammo to take over Mexico. [Of course, a 100 idiots, or so, get killed protecting their stash.] Enjoy, as the tird (TheRump) circles the bowl! If you could only think through these things. Of course, first, you would have to understand that the purpose of FoxFakeNews is get your interest and your money, to facilitate making the rich richer.
