Watching the Taylor Made Driving Relief challenge

May 17, 2020, 4:24 PM

Love seeing the pro golfers having to carry their own bags, and having no assistance from a caddy on yardage, reading the greens etc. Would like to see that for the tour this year. Then maybe we would see just how well these guys can play without someone helping them.

I'm sure the caddies help a few stokes but they still have to make the shots and putts. They would still be making pars and birdies.

They are using range finders, so that takes care of most of the yardage issues.

I hope not. I have a few caddie friends on tour, as well as bunch at private courses and expensive public courses. That's a trend I don't want to see. That would a lot of jobs down the tubes. That's all many of those caddies know. The players on tour want their caddies, so that will never happen permanently.

Watched Matt Wolff put his tee shot in the greenside bunker on a 410 yard par four on #16. Impressive.
