Watched 20 minutes of the Dems last night. They're so bad.

Nov 21, 2019, 7:48 AM

People are finally waking up to the idiocy of Warren's wealth tax and she did not look good defending it.

Kamala is an idiot with her fake drawl.

The little gay dude is 37 years old. We will not elect a gay child to POTUS.

Biden is incoherent. Seriously incoherent.

Klobuchar took a step backward. Did not look good.

Wide-eyed, light-skinned Cory Booker did pretty well I thought. He just reminds me of Keegan-Michael Key though.

Bernie is still Bernie and still makes the most consistent, adult-like, compelling case time and time again.

Tulsi and Yang got ZERO air time in the 20 minutes I watched. That was some bullsh*t.

If DJT survives impeachment, there is no way any of these (except maybe Bernie or Key) could beat him. No. Way.

Mayor Pete is way better than Trump. 37 is meaningless. George Washington was 43 when he lead our troops to create this country. Some of our Founding Fathers were in their 30's.

Anyway, generally the candidates do suck, but the best part of the debates when Booker was talking about legalizing weed and threw that zinger at Biden for being high.

Smoking a joint might help Biden remember his name.***

I did Warren's billionaire calculator. Just for sheetz

Nov 21, 2019, 8:11 AM

and googles. So under her "plan" Bill Gates will owe a little over $6,000,000,000. EVERY YEAR. Now, considering Bill Gates has probably not monetized much more than $6 billion in his Microsoft stock since the company started, that's a huge hit to the stock. To get his $6,000,000,000 a year for his wealth tax he will have no choice but to SELL HIS STOCK. Now, keep in mind this is Microsoft stock, held by Bill Gates, but leveraged by the company and part of the company's market cap. So when Bill sells his stock to get his $6 billion to pay Warren and the government for his "wealth" tax, that directly impacts Microsoft to the tune of being a $6 billion TAX on the company. FURTHERMORE, the stock price will drop as 12% of the companies shares (or whatever portion the Microsoft billionaires hold) will have to be sold off every year. The market cap will crater. Any debts the company has will then be called because your interest rate you pay on your corporate debt is dependent on your market cap as collateral. Microsoft currently has $96 BILLION in debt leveraged by its current stock price.

So if you're a billionaire due to majority stock holdings in ANY company, there's a high likelihood your company will go bankrupt in 5 years as nearly 60% of your market cap is monetized and the market is flooded with your stocks. This WILL wreck Wall Street. And that WILL wreck everything else, as it did in 1929.

She really doesn't understand that stocks are not money. Their value isn't "real" until sold. And when you force a sale to obtain "real" value, the stock will tank. Along with the company. And then the market. I'd be much more supportive of an increase in capital gains. WE ONLY TAX STOCKS at the point of sale. Any time before that and you're taxing what someone THINKS a stock is worth. Not to mention as soon as this is implemented, the economic hit the billionaires take will be limited. It will be a dry well FAST. And as Wall Street crumbles, so will the economy, and you end up with LESS REVENUE.

But people who don't know #### about #### will buy this hook line and sinker. That being said, she also doesn't have a prayer.

There is a bright side to Gate's situation.

He won't owe a penny the second year and by year five he will be on government welfare.

They'd all top Trump by 7-10 points and it's not a huge deal who is making waves in November. But it seems the big moment last night was Harris's trashing of Gabbard. That was a "you're no Jack Kennedy" level attack. Hopefully Gabbard is done soon, but she'll probably hang around like that last little bit of mold you can never kill.

Anyone who thought Hillary would win big was thinking so despite evidence. She won the popular vote by a decent margin, but was just on the cusp of having a margin that the electoral college couldn't mathematically overcome.

Well we lost. We may lose again. Promising "open borders" and free medical for illegals isn't helping us.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not to mention the Ga voter suppression...

Nov 21, 2019, 11:53 AM

that doesn't exist.

We already elected one child to be our current president.

Nov 21, 2019, 12:30 PM

But you are correct in that this pool of Dems are pretty bad. It’s gonna be another election choosing between two awful candidates.
