Apparently there is an air balloon race in middle GA today and this beautiful balloon landed literally right in front of my house this AM! Pretty cool! Very nice Clemson folks.

As a former balloon chaser at an annual event in Camden, SC years ago I can attest to the fact that landings can indeed take place in unusual places! Just stay away from power lines!

I agree. Crewed during Freedom Weekend Aloft days in Greenville.

Most frightened I ever got was while on chase crew duty, and we encountered a car on a narrow dirt road.

The driver of the car leaned out of the window and said "Hey, are ya'll looking for that blimp that crashed on down the road?"

Turned out that it was a normal landing and no one was hurt!

Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque once many,many moons ago. Plucked the guy out of a median in I-40 about 30 minutes before rush hour cranked to full blast
