I fully expect this exact same cookie cutter legislation to show up on the doorstep of Red State Houses across the country like the morning news paper. If I am right about that, I would love to know who is pulling the strings on this one.

Peter Matthiessen was an American novelist, naturalist, wilderness writer and CIA agent. He is also the only writer to have won the National Book Award in both fiction and nonfiction and he was also a prominent environmental activist. Set in frontier Florida in the early 1900’s, Matthiessen wrote three books titled Killing Mister Watson, Lost Man’s River, and Bone by Bone. Although Matthiessen never officially gave the trilogy a name, these three books follow the life of a Florida Gulf Coast cane farmer, Edgar J. Watson, who is rumored to have killed many people but the exact accounts are vague.

I do not disagree with you on that, but yelling at a person should not result in a felony, that is a bit of an overreach. Might as well call that one the Karen law, because it will be abused, as will unilaterally deputising the entire state to use lethal force. I do not think I have ever seen a more reckless piece of legislation.
