I’m fine with it as long as they don’t bail out the airlines or any other companies that used surplus funds over the past few years to do stock buy backs instead of saving it for a rainy day. Don’t reward irresponsibility.

Socialism is an economic term describing an economic system in which the government in involved with providing or regulating some essential industries. It is sometimes called a mixed economy because it includes some aspects of capitalism and some of communism.
The US has been somewhat socialist since early in its history. It has moved in a more socialist direction throughout its history. Almost all countries on the planet are moving towards the center - into a mixed economy.
